Beyond The Sea

IS OUT NOW

A musical journey of meeting, learning, and adapting. Starts with a piano solo inspired by the Concerto form, which can be interpreted as the "main character" of the story. Later on, by introducing the orchestra, Armin Radnia has depicted the solidarity between the instruments, and after a while of exploring the musical possibilities, we reach the moment where the longing for more musical elements disappears, that's when a modulation to another key once again reminds us of the theme. The idea behind this piece was how we all gradually adapt to the newly introduced environments, in this case, our main character, the piano, had to adapt to the orchestra's sound.

PORTFOLIO

The Coat

A Theatre Soundtrack Album

A throne, crown, bloodline maybe even a coat? These are some of the objects we use to demonstrate our hierarchy. This hierarchy can sometimes be unfair as most of the time, the person in the highest status has the ability to rule over people and change their lives as he wants.

So what if the one who's wearing The Coat is a dictator?

Francisco Goya

EP

Francisco Goya was the source of inspiration for this EP. The Snowstorm, Love and Death, and Prison Interior are the paintings Radnia chose to compose music based on them. The best word to describe this EP is "minimal".

Maria

Concept Album

Armin Radnia has composed an album based on a theatre play monologue named Maria.

Maria could be described as a curious character whose goal is to find the answers to important things in life. She goes on a journey to find the meaning behind all those things that are not quite easy to explain such as the way we think of our existence.

She criticizes everything; old-fashioned teachings, and even her "being". In this path, Maria gets lost between truth and lies, and all these pressures make her mentally unstable. "They crucified my brain" Maria says. Armin Radnia described this album as "a journey to madness driven by truth".

It definitely was a challenging project, asking all these serious questions with only 12 musical notes, and keeping it interesting; fortunately, Radnia had a great approach to the music and composed a valuable album.
